I am a Consultant surgeon practising both in the NHS and the private sector. I qualified at Kings College Hospital Medical School in 1977 and trained in London, Brighton, Leicester, Norwich and the United States of America before taking up my present post as a Consultant in Chelmsford in 1992.

I am a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England and hold a Master of Surgery degree from the University of London. Professional affiliations include the Association of Surgeons, Association of Upper GI Surgeons and the Association of Laparoscopic Surgeons.

I have extensive experience in keyhole (laparoscopic) surgery having performed over 3000 procedures since my appointment as a Consultant in 1992. In addition I have a wide experience in the treatment of cancers of the upper gastrointestinal system (gullet and stomach) as well as providing a comprehensive general surgical service.

My private practice is based in Chelmsford, Essex at the Springfield Hospital. Chelmsford is only 35 minutes by train from London Liverpool Street station. There are excellent road links with Springfield Hospital which is situated just off the A12 London road. Stansted airport is only 20 minutes away by car. I also practice at the Spire Wellesley Hospital in Southend on Sea.
